KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia’s palm oil products decreased 17,7 % from 01 – 25 January 2015 than 01 – 25 December 2014. Cargo surveyor of Intertek Testing Services said, Malaysia’s CPO export volume decreased to be 886.189 tons from 1.077.000 tons in the previous month.

LIBERIA - Equatorial Palm Oil plc (EPO), palm oil company operating in Liberia, West Africa announced that in Tuesday (27/1), 50% shares of the joint venture company with Liberia Palm Developments Limited (LPD) has officially signed loan about $20.5 billions from KLK Agro Plantations Pte Ltd (KLK Agro), the subindustry of Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad (KLK), to fund the operational in LPD.

PEKANBARU – Based on the decision of price making team in Plantation Agency of Riau, in January 28th – February 3rd, 2015, the 1o year old fruit decreases Rp28,36 to be Rp1.724,22/Kg which was only Rp1.752.58/Kg.

MEDAN – State Enterprice, PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) IV will immediately get Indonesia Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certificate. Public Relation of PTPN IV, Syahrul Aman Siregar, the independent institution of ISPO is still auditing PTPN IV.

MUMBAI – The abosorption of local vegetable oil in India from 2014 is estimated to be small in numbers than it in last year. It is about 15 – 20 %. It happens for the large import of soybean oil in the spot markets.

PALAS – Several palm oil farmers in District of Padang Lawas (Palas), North Sumatera Province, in last few months get small income. The fruit productions are decreasing because of lacking of nursery. This makes the fruit selling price variative – it depends on the quality.

PEKANBARU – To increase the production of palm oil farmers in District of   Rokan Hilir (Rohil), Riau Province, the provincial government gave free seeds for them.

SEI MENGGARIS – National Land Agency (NLA) gave 2.549 land certifications to palm oil farmers in Nunukan, Saturday (24/1). The certifications were directly given by Governor of North Kalimantan, Irianto Lambrie.

PEKANBARU – The needs of electricity in Riau Province keep increasing in every single year.  This forces, the provincial government advantage palm oil biomass.  The needs in Riau are about 592 Megawatt (MW) while the available electricity is just 315 MW. It means, there is lack of electricity about 277 MW.

JAKARTA – General Directorate of Plantation through Directorate of Yearly Plant, Ministry of Agriculture held an evaluation meeting on January 9th, 2015 of palm oil distributions in 2014 and the production plan in 2014.
