InfoSAWIT, PEKANBARU – Independent oil palm smallholders in Riau will receive higher Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) prices for the July 1–7, 2026 pricing period after the provincial pricing committee approved an increase of Rp73.76 per kilogram for nine-year-old palms.
Under the pricing decision stipulated in Decree No. 23 for the July 1–7, 2026 period, the benchmark price for FFB produced by independent smallholders from nine-year-old plantations increased to Rp3,781.37/kg, according to data obtained by InfoSAWIT from the Riau Provincial Plantation Agency.
The latest pricing schedule sets FFB prices at Rp2,923.85/kg for three-year-old palms, Rp3,263.53/kg for four-year-old palms, Rp3,504.91/kg for five-year-old palms, Rp3,640.78/kg for six-year-old palms, Rp3,722.68/kg for seven-year-old palms, and Rp3,768.04/kg for eight-year-old palms.
For older plantations, the committee set prices at Rp3,740.94/kg for palms aged 10–20 years, Rp3,676.90/kg for 21-year-old palms, Rp3,603.42/kg for 22-year-old palms, Rp3,519.88/kg for 23-year-old palms, Rp3,456.66/kg for 24-year-old palms, and Rp3,404.73/kg for 25-year-old palms. Meanwhile, palms aged 26 to 30 years are priced between Rp3,386.06/kg and Rp3,170.13/kg, reflecting the gradual decline in productivity as plantations mature.
The committee also established supporting commodity values used in the FFB pricing formula. Crude palm oil (CPO) was valued at Rp15,541.13/kg, palm kernel at Rp13,319.00/kg, while shell value was set at Rp23.11/kg. The K index, which represents the revenue-sharing factor used in the calculation, was maintained at 92.45%.
The provincial government noted that the official prices serve as a reference for independent smallholder transactions. Actual prices received in the field may vary depending on commercial agreements and local market conditions. (T2)
