MEDAN, InfoSAWIT – Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) prices in North Sumatra moved higher for the July 15–21, 2026 pricing period, providing another positive signal for oil palm growers as crude palm oil prices remained at relatively strong levels.
The provincial pricing committee agreed to raise the benchmark price for oil palm trees aged 10–20 years by Rp42.50/kg, bringing the official price to Rp3,925.49 per kilogram.
Based on information compiled by InfoSAWIT from the North Sumatra Plantation and Livestock Agency, FFB prices vary according to plantation age. Prices range from Rp3,309.56/kg for three-year-old palms to Rp3,930.70/kg for 21-year-old plantations before gradually declining for older trees.
For this pricing period, the committee also established the reference CPO price at Rp15,444.71/kg, while palm kernel was valued at Rp14,169.10/kg. The K index, which determines the growers' share in the pricing formula, was maintained at 93.76%.
The latest adjustment reflects continued stability in the domestic palm oil market, with FFB prices remaining supported by healthy CPO values despite volatility in international vegetable oil markets.
The official provincial pricing serves as a reference for partnership plantations, although actual purchase prices in the field may differ depending on mill policies, quality, transportation costs, and local market conditions. (T2)
