South Sumatra Raises Fresh Fruit Bunch Prices for Second Half of July 2026

InfoSAWIT, PALEMBANG – The South Sumatra Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) Pricing Committee has approved higher oil palm FFB prices for the second pricing period of July 2026 (July 16–31), with the benchmark price for 10-year-old palms increasing by Rp77.19/kg to Rp3,846.77/kg.

Based on data compiled by InfoSAWIT from the South Sumatra Plantation Agency, FFB prices vary according to tree age. Prices were set at Rp3,236.77/kg for three-year-old palms, Rp3,337.53/kg for four-year-old palms, Rp3,483.13/kg for five-year-old palms, Rp3,521.20/kg for six-year-old palms, Rp3,518.78/kg for seven-year-old palms, and Rp3,642.92/kg for eight-year-old palms.

For older plantations, prices were determined at Rp3,714.82/kg for nine-year-old palms, Rp3,846.77/kg for palms aged 10 to 20 years, Rp3,835.90/kg for 21-year-old palms, Rp3,844.68/kg for 22-year-old palms, Rp3,817.88/kg for 23-year-old palms, Rp3,710.67/kg for 24-year-old palms, and Rp3,723.92/kg for 25-year-old palms.

Meanwhile, FFB prices for plantations aged 26 to 30 years were set between Rp3,399.96/kg and Rp3,657.36/kg, reflecting the gradual decline in productivity associated with aging oil palm trees.

The committee also established the reference crude palm oil (CPO) price at Rp15,161.14/kg, while palm kernel was priced at Rp13,231.97/kg. The shell value was fixed at Rp18.88/kg, with the K index set at 93.65%.

The pricing serves as an official reference for transactions involving oil palm growers and mills across South Sumatra, although actual prices paid in the field may differ depending on commercial agreements and local market conditions. (T2)
