The provincial pricing committee also established the reference prices for downstream palm products used in the FFB calculation. Crude palm oil (CPO) was set at Rp15,671.29/kg, while palm kernel was priced at Rp14,761.54/kg. The value of palm shell was determined at Rp18.27/kg, with the K index set at 93.39%.
The weekly FFB pricing mechanism is intended to provide a transparent reference for transactions between plasma smallholders and palm oil mills across Riau. However, actual farmgate prices may vary depending on fruit quality, transportation costs, contractual arrangements, and local trading conditions.
The latest increase reflects the continued strength of Indonesia's domestic palm oil market, supported by relatively firm CPO prices despite ongoing fluctuations in the global vegetable oil market. (T2)
