Jambi Fresh Fruit Bunch Prices Hold Steady Despite Slight Increase in Mid-July Benchmark

InfoSAWIT, JAMBI – Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices in Jambi Province remained broadly stable for the July 17–23, 2026 pricing period, with only a marginal increase recorded for mature oil palm plantations.

Based on the latest decision issued by the Jambi Provincial FFB Pricing Committee, the benchmark price for oil palms aged 10 to 20 years rose by Rp7.47/kg to Rp3,864.36 per kilogram, indicating relatively stagnant market conditions.

According to data compiled by InfoSAWIT from the Jambi Provincial Plantation Agency, FFB prices begin at Rp3,208.15/kg for three-year-old plantations and gradually increase with tree maturity, reaching Rp3,388.60/kg for four-year-old palms, Rp3,466.22/kg for five-year-old trees, and Rp3,560.82/kg for six-year-old plantations.

Prices continue to strengthen through the productive age cycle, with seven-year-old palms valued at Rp3,642.48/kg, eight-year-old plantations at Rp3,697.02/kg, and nine-year-old trees at Rp3,782.43/kg before peaking at Rp3,864.36/kg for palms aged 10 to 20 years.

Older plantations recorded lower benchmark prices, ranging from Rp3,803.96/kg for 21-year-old palms to Rp3,097.43/kg for 30-year-old trees, reflecting declining productivity as plantations age.

The committee also fixed the province's reference CPO price at Rp15,228.48/kg, while palm kernel was valued at Rp13,763.03/kg. Palm shell prices were set at Rp16.76/kg, with the K Index established at 93.07%.

The official pricing serves as a benchmark for transactions between mills and growers across Jambi Province. Actual farmgate prices, however, may vary depending on fruit quality, transportation costs, contractual arrangements, and purchasing policies adopted by individual palm oil mills. (T2)
