InfoSAWIT, PEKANBARU – The Riau Provincial Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) Pricing Committee has approved higher prices for plasma smallholder oil palm crops for the July 22–28, 2026 pricing period, with the benchmark price for nine-year-old palms increasing by Rp39.58 per kilogram.
Under the latest pricing decision, FFB from nine-year-old plantations was set at Rp3,930.55/kg, reflecting continued strength in regional palm oil pricing.
According to data compiled by InfoSAWIT from the Riau Provincial Plantation Agency, FFB prices vary according to plantation age. Prices range from Rp3,031.59/kg for three-year-old palms to Rp3,925.73/kg for eight-year-old plantations.
For mature plantations, FFB prices were established at Rp3,930.55/kg for nine-year-old palms and Rp3,909.77/kg for plantations aged between 10 and 20 years. Prices then gradually decline for older plantations, reaching Rp3,411.23/kg for 30-year-old palms as productivity naturally decreases with age.
The committee also set the province's reference crude palm oil (CPO) price at Rp15,569.42/kg, while palm kernel was valued at Rp14,054.75/kg. The shell price was fixed at Rp18.27/kg, with the K Index determined at 93.39%.
The pricing serves as the official reference for plasma smallholder transactions across Riau and is intended to provide transparency in determining payments between growers and palm oil mills.
However, the provincial government emphasized that the published prices are intended solely as official reference values established by the Plantation Agency. Actual prices received by growers in the field may vary depending on contractual agreements, quality specifications, and local market conditions. (T2)
