JAKARTA – The government through PT Pertamina (Persero) has been seriously running the mixture diesel programme to fulfill the national needs of fuel.
Vice President Research and Development, PT Pertamina, Eko Wahyu said, there is other kind of plant besides palm oil which could produce more biodiesel, that is, algae.
He said, as quoted from Liputan 6, Monday (26/1) one hectare of algae could produce 50 thousands liters of fuel while palm oil could produce 5.940 liters. “Palm oil just produces 5.940 liters, while algae could be 10 times more,” he explained. (T3)
