InfoSAWIT, PALEMBANG – Oil palm growers in South Sumatra Province will receive higher official fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for the first half of July 2026 after the provincial pricing committee approved an increase across several age categories.
Based on the decision of the South Sumatra FFB Pricing Team for the period July 1–15, 2026, the benchmark price for oil palm trees aged 10 to 20 years increased by Rp45.71 per kilogram, bringing the official price to Rp3,769.58/kg.
Information compiled by InfoSAWIT from the South Sumatra Plantation Office shows that FFB prices vary according to tree age. Plantations aged three years were set at Rp3,178.82/kg, rising to Rp3,277.43/kg for four-year-old palms and Rp3,423.70/kg for five-year-old trees.
The official prices continue at Rp3,464.13/kg for six-year-old palms, Rp3,463.29/kg for seven years, Rp3,579.25/kg for eight years, and Rp3,646.24/kg for nine-year-old plantations.
For mature plantations, FFB prices were established at Rp3,769.58/kg for trees aged 10–20 years, Rp3,757.65/kg for 21-year-old palms, Rp3,763.74/kg for 22 years, Rp3,737.23/kg for 23 years, Rp3,630.46/kg for 24 years, and Rp3,641.77/kg for 25 years.
Meanwhile, older plantations were priced at Rp3,575.79/kg for 26-year-old trees, Rp3,520.64/kg for 27 years, Rp3,458.97/kg for 28 years, Rp3,391.39/kg for 29 years, and Rp3,318.71/kg for plantations aged 30 years.
The committee also set the provincial reference price for crude palm oil (CPO) at Rp15,049.12/kg, while palm kernel was valued at Rp12,198.38/kg. The shell price was determined at Rp18.88/kg, with the K Index fixed at 93.65%.
The provincial FFB pricing serves as an official benchmark for transactions between independent growers and palm oil mills. However, actual prices received by farmers may vary depending on quality specifications, transportation costs, contractual arrangements, and local market conditions. (T2)
