InfoSAWIT, PEKANBARU – Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) prices for independent oil palm smallholders in Riau Province increased during the pricing period of July 22–28, 2026, providing a modest boost to farmers amid relatively stable crude palm oil (CPO) prices.
Based on the official pricing decision issued by the Riau Provincial FFB Pricing Team under Decree No. 26 for the July 22–28, 2026 Period, the benchmark price for nine-year-old oil palm trees rose by Rp13.25 per kilogram to Rp3,846.00/kg.
According to data obtained by InfoSAWIT from the Riau Provincial Plantation Agency, FFB prices vary according to the age profile of the plantations. Prices were set at Rp2,976.93/kg for three-year-old palms, Rp3,320.80/kg for four-year-old palms, Rp3,564.42/kg for five-year-old palms, Rp3,701.97/kg for six-year-old palms, Rp3,785.40/kg for seven-year-old palms, and Rp3,831.29/kg for eight-year-old palms.
For mature plantations, FFB from 10 to 20-year-old palms was priced at Rp3,805.79/kg, while prices gradually declined for older trees. FFB from 21-year-old palms was set at Rp3,741.55/kg, falling to Rp3,667.59/kg for 22-year-old palms, Rp3,583.50/kg for 23-year-old palms, Rp3,519.81/kg for 24-year-old palms, and Rp3,461.57/kg for 25-year-old palms.
Meanwhile, FFB harvested from older plantations continued to record lower values, with prices ranging from Rp3,448.75/kg for 26-year-old palms to Rp3,231.36/kg for 30-year-old trees.
The pricing team also established the provincial reference prices for palm oil products used in the calculation. Crude palm oil (CPO) was valued at Rp15,664.56/kg, palm kernel at Rp14,145.14/kg, while shell value was set at Rp24.45/kg, based on a K-index of 92.40%.
The provincial government emphasized that the published FFB prices serve as official reference prices. Actual transaction prices received by farmers may differ depending on local market conditions, quality of harvested fruit, and agreements between growers and buyers. (T2)
