Riau Fresh Fruit Bunch Prices Rise for Early July as CPO Market Strengthens

InfoSAWIT, PEKANBARU – Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for plasma smallholders in Riau Province have increased for the pricing period of July 1–7, 2026, reflecting firmer crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel values in the domestic market.

According to the Riau Provincial Fresh Fruit Bunch Pricing Team under Pricing Decree No. 23 for the July 1–7, 2026 period, the benchmark price for nine-year-old oil palm trees rose by Rp55.60 per kilogram to Rp3,831.76 per kg.

Data obtained by InfoSAWIT from the Riau Provincial Plantation Office showed that FFB prices vary according to tree age. Prices were set at Rp2,949.68 per kg for three-year-old palms, Rp3,347.18 per kg for four-year-old palms, Rp3,548.50 per kg for five-year-old palms, Rp3,703.60 per kg for six-year-old palms, Rp3,782.99 per kg for seven-year-old palms, and Rp3,827.74 per kg for eight-year-old palms.

For mature plantations, FFB prices reached Rp3,831.76 per kg for nine-year-old palms, while trees aged 10 to 20 years were priced at Rp3,810.90 per kg.

Prices gradually declined for older plantations, with 21-year-old palms valued at Rp3,750.55 per kg, 22-year-old palms at Rp3,692.58 per kg, 23-year-old palms at Rp3,630.79 per kg, 24-year-old palms at Rp3,563.01 per kg, and 25-year-old palms at Rp3,486.85 per kg.

Meanwhile, FFB from plantations aged 26 years was priced at Rp3,440.62 per kg, followed by Rp3,394.14 per kg for 27-year-old palms, Rp3,348.86 per kg for 28-year-old palms, Rp3,331.61 per kg for 29-year-old palms, and Rp3,317.41 per kg for 30-year-old plantations.

The pricing committee also set the reference CPO price at Rp15,472.21 per kg, while palm kernel was valued at Rp12,812.59 per kg. The shell value was fixed at Rp19.77 per kg, with the K index—used in calculating FFB prices—set at 92.87%.

The latest adjustment reflects the continued strength of Indonesia's palm oil market, supported by resilient CPO prices and improving demand from both domestic and export markets. However, actual farmgate prices may vary depending on local trading conditions and commercial arrangements between growers and mills. (T2)
