InfoSAWIT, PONTIANAK – The West Kalimantan Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) Pricing Committee has established new palm oil pricing for the second period of July 2026, with oil palm aged 10 to 20 years receiving the highest rate of Rp3,599.27 per kilogram for payments covering July 8–15, 2026.
Based on data obtained by InfoSAWIT from the West Kalimantan Plantation and Livestock Agency, the revised pricing reflects the province's official benchmark used by palm oil mills in determining FFB purchases from growers.
FFB prices vary according to plantation age. Three-year-old palms were valued at Rp2,702.99/kg, increasing to Rp2,903.74/kg for four-year-old trees and Rp3,116.59/kg for five-year-old palms. Prices continue to rise with maturity, reaching Rp3,248.78/kg at six years, Rp3,364.98/kg at seven years, Rp3,459.40/kg at eight years, and Rp3,524.51/kg for nine-year-old plantations.
The highest benchmark remains applicable to plantations aged 10 to 20 years, reflecting their optimal production stage.
Prices gradually decline for older plantations, with 21-year-old palms set at Rp3,556.28/kg, 22-year-old trees at Rp3,524.39/kg, 23-year-old plantations at Rp3,480.17/kg, 24-year-old palms at Rp3,383.26/kg, and 25-year-old plantations at Rp3,293.29/kg.
The committee also established the province's reference prices for palm oil products, setting crude palm oil (CPO) at Rp15,191.91/kg, palm kernel at Rp13,426.01/kg, while the K Index—used in calculating FFB prices—was fixed at 91.28%.
The official pricing serves as a guideline for transactions between palm oil mills and growers across West Kalimantan. However, actual prices received by farmers may differ depending on local agreements, transportation costs, fruit quality, and individual mill policies. (T2)
