InfoSAWIT, PADANG – Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) prices for oil palm in West Sumatra Province increased during the fourth pricing period of July 2026, with mature plantations aged 10 to 20 years posting a gain of Rp12.60 per kilogram, according to the latest pricing decision issued by the provincial pricing committee.
For the period July 22–31, 2026, the benchmark price for FFB from palms aged 10–20 years was set at Rp3,972.26/kg, reflecting the continued resilience of Indonesia's palm oil market despite ongoing volatility in global vegetable oil prices.
Based on data compiled by InfoSAWIT from the West Sumatra Provincial Office of Plantation, Food Crops and Horticulture, FFB prices across various age categories were determined as follows:
3 years: Rp3,113.85/kg
4 years: Rp3,292.09/kg
5 years: Rp3,488.39/kg
6 years: Rp3,601.84/kg
7 years: Rp3,743.45/kg
8 years: Rp3,882.67/kg
9 years: Rp3,960.71/kg
10–20 years: Rp3,972.26/kg
21 years: Rp3,817.52/kg
22 years: Rp3,811.26/kg
23 years: Rp3,753.69/kg
24 years: Rp3,579.05/kg
25 years: Rp3,539.79/kg
The committee also set the provincial reference prices for key palm oil products, with crude palm oil (CPO) priced at Rp15,416.38/kg, palm kernel at Rp14,127.42/kg, and palm shell at Rp17.84/kg. The K index, which represents the revenue-sharing formula used in calculating FFB prices, was established at 93.75%.
The official FFB pricing serves as a reference for transactions between palm oil mills and growers participating in the provincial pricing mechanism. Actual prices received by farmers may vary depending on factors such as fruit quality, transportation costs, contractual arrangements, and local market conditions. (T2)
