GHANA – Manager of Solidaridad Palm Oil Program, Rosemary Addico, stated, old palm oil plants and the complicated access to get subsidized fertilizers are identified as the main factors which are hampered domestic palm oil development.
Old palm oil plants in palm oil plantation sector is a big problem I this country, while the lack of access of supply chain for subsidized fertilizers to the farmers also as the big challenge for the development of the plants.
“If Ghana invests in increasing fertilizers supply chain, it will supports palm oil farmers,” he said as published by Ghana Web, on Thursday (04/12/2014).
He continued, that palm oil plants have a very big potency in the country, but there is no any supporting in this country. The government has subsidized fertilizers for other plants but no assistance for palm oil plants. (T3)
