Riau Independent Palm Fruit Prices Rise for July 29–August 4 Period

InfoSAWIT, PEKANBARU – Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for independent smallholders in Riau Province increased for the pricing period of July 29–August 4, 2026, with nine-year-old oil palm trees recording the largest benchmark price at Rp3,913.28 per kilogram, up Rp67.28/kg from the previous period.

The revised prices were approved by the Riau Provincial FFB Pricing Team under FFB Pricing Decree No. 27 for the latest pricing period.

Based on data obtained by InfoSAWIT from the Riau Provincial Plantation Agency, FFB prices vary according to tree age. Prices range from Rp3,031.79/kg for three-year-old palms, rising progressively to Rp3,897.19/kg for eight-year-old plantations before peaking at Rp3,913.28/kg for nine-year-old palms.

For mature plantations aged 10–20 years, the official price was set at Rp3,873.28/kg, while prices gradually declined for older trees, reaching Rp3,294.66/kg for 30-year-old palms.

The pricing committee also established the reference CPO price at Rp15,795.00/kg, palm kernel at Rp14,983.02/kg, shell value at Rp24.45/kg, and the K index at 92.40%, which serves as the basis for calculating FFB prices across the province.

The Riau government noted that these official prices are intended as reference prices for independent growers. Actual transaction prices at the farm gate may vary depending on local market conditions and agreements between growers and buyers. (T2)
