JAKARTA – Biofuel is one of alternative energy that can be developed in Indonesia, one is by utilizing crude palm oil (CPO).
Bambang Brodjonegoro, Minister of Finance, stated, for now the government has a regulation in requiring 10% of biofuels for diesel. Later, it is possible to be incraesed by 30%.
“For now is still 10%. But to date, CPO price is still low, domestic palm oil producers expect it can be raised by 20-30%,” said Bambang, as cited by Medan Bisnis, on Wednesday (26/11/2014).
The reason, more used domestic biofuels means the decreasing of energy sources importing, also means that the budget of fuel oils can be saved and decreasing the dependence on fuel oils. (T4)
