Jakarta – General Secretary of Ministry of Transportation, Santoso Ediwibowo said, the goverment is making obligation to use bioavtur in phase to substitute nowadays avtur used in the aeroplane.
It is different from the fossil avtur, bio avtur has vegetable oil which could be said as renewable energy. In 2016, the government will oblige the usage of 2% bioavtur. “This is to minimize the climate changes,” he explained.
On the other hand, General Director of Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation, Ministry of Energy and Miniral Resources, Rida Mulyana said, the usage of bioavtur is to reduce the import. The consumption of avtur in Indonesia has reached 5 millions kiloliter per year. From the numbers, 40% is bought from the foreign countries, which mostly from Singapore and South Korea. (T2)
