CROSS RIVER–Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resource of Cross River in cooperation with Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Village Development have distributed palm oil seeds to the farmers in 2014.
The Chief Scheme of Growth Enhancement Service (GES), Ada Edu said, the farmers should get the advantage of the input to increase the production of palm oil. The government should also to make the programme into the state government’s policy in agricultural sector.
He continued, as quoted from Daily Independetnig, Tuesday, (22/7/2014),the success of the farmers’ training, they might have 50 seeds of palm oil, one bag of 50 kg fertilizer and one liter of herbicide.
“Training is the opportunity for the farmers in the state to get advantage from GES,” he said.
He thought, there were1.750palm oil farmers in the state, listed in the scheme of GES in 2014. (T3)
