SAMARINDA –Governor of East Kalimantan Province, AwangFaroekIshakasked,  every palm oil company should give golden share about 20% to the people around the plantation areas.

The golden share is the plantation given to the people around (plasma). It is convinced, the plasma programme could increase the welfare of the people.

“I once did it when I was the regent of East Kutai and alhamdulillah, the people are happy for they get benefits from the plasma programme,” he said.

By giving the golden share, the company could support the government’s programme to welfare the people, especially the plantation cultivation. It means, the programme supports the government to give jobs to the people.

To make the programme successful, the provincial government of East Kalimantan will give service to the businessmen, such as, the faster licence to get.

“What we aim to do is to increase the welfare of the people. It means, if the company commits to give plasma to the people, the business licence will be easier to get. Insyallah, it could be done in two days, through one stop service office,” Awang Faroek said as reported in humasprove.kaltim, which was quoted from Plantation Agency of Kaltim (4/5). (T3)
