West Sumatra Palm Oil FFB Price Falls IDR 45.38/kg to IDR 4,005.47

InfoSAWIT, PADANG – The official fresh fruit bunch (FFB) price for oil palm in West Sumatra declined during the first September 2026 pricing period, with FFB from 10–20-year-old plantations set at IDR 4,005.47 per kilogram.

The new price, applicable from September 1–7, 2026, represents a decline of IDR 45.38/kg from the previous period, when the benchmark price stood at IDR 4,050.85/kg.

The latest adjustment was determined during a meeting of the West Sumatra Provincial Oil Palm FFB Price Determination Team on September 3, 2026, at the Plantation Division Hall on Jalan Rasuna Said No. 77, Padang.

According to the official pricing minutes reviewed by InfoSAWIT, the FFB price determination is based on plantation commodity indicators, including average crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel prices obtained from oil palm companies operating in West Sumatra.

FFB Prices Vary by Plantation Age

The decline in the 10–20-year-old plantation benchmark was accompanied by different price levels across plantation age groups.

The official West Sumatra FFB prices for September 1–7, 2026 are:

3 years: IDR 3,147.43/kg

4 years: IDR 3,325.66/kg

5 years: IDR 3,522.89/kg

6 years: IDR 3,637.23/kg

7 years: IDR 3,777.68/kg

8 years: IDR 3,917.11/kg

9 years: IDR 3,994.72/kg

10–20 years: IDR 4,005.47/kg

21 years: IDR 3,852.58/kg

22 years: IDR 3,845.82/kg

23 years: IDR 3,787.16/kg

24 years: IDR 3,609.94/kg

25 years: IDR 3,568.56/kg

The prices apply to cooperative units (KUD) partnering within West Sumatra Province.

CPO Price Set at IDR 15,623.61/kg

The latest FFB pricing calculation also reflected the underlying CPO and palm kernel price components.

For the first September period, the average CPO price was set at IDR 15,623.61/kg, while the palm kernel price stood at IDR 13,375/kg.

The K Index used in calculating the FFB price was recorded at 94.54 percent, while the shell component was set at IDR 17.30/kg.

For oil palm plantations aged 10–20 years, the new benchmark price of IDR 4,005.47/kg represents a decline of IDR 45.38/kg from the previous period's IDR 4,050.85/kg.

The West Sumatra FFB Price Determination Team has scheduled its next meeting for September 11, 2026, to determine the price applicable for September 8–14. (T2)
