InfoSAWIT, MEDAN – Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for plasma smallholder oil palm growers in North Sumatra increased again for the August 26–September 2, 2026 pricing period, with the benchmark price for oil palm trees aged 10–20 years set at Rp4,073.80 per kilogram.

The latest price represents an increase of Rp156.30/kg from the previous period, when the FFB price for the same age category stood at Rp3,917.50/kg.

As reported by InfoSAWIT, based on data from the North Sumatra Agriculture and Food Security Agency, the new prices were determined during a meeting of the provincial FFB Price Determination Team for plasma smallholder oil palm growers held on August 26, 2026, at the Padi Hall of the North Sumatra Agriculture and Food Security Agency in Medan. The calculation was based on prices submitted by palm oil companies operating in the province.

The officially determined FFB prices for the August 26–September 2, 2026 period are as follows:

3 years: Rp3,430.60/kg

4 years: Rp3,657.76/kg

5 years: Rp3,784.76/kg

6 years: Rp3,896.74/kg

7 years: Rp3,869.05/kg

8 years: Rp4,003.18/kg

9 years: Rp4,040.69/kg

10–20 years: Rp4,073.80/kg

21 years: Rp4,078.30/kg

22 years: Rp4,040.00/kg

23 years: Rp3,983.44/kg

24 years: Rp3,860.50/kg

25 years: Rp3,747.08/kg

26 years: Rp3,717.06/kg

27 years: Rp3,662.05/kg

28 years: Rp3,604.00/kg

29 years: Rp3,544.26/kg

30 years: Rp3,484.53/kg

The highest FFB price during the latest pricing period was recorded for 21-year-old oil palm trees at Rp4,078.30/kg, slightly above the Rp4,073.80/kg set for trees aged 10–20 years.

In the latest calculation, the average price of locally sold and exported crude palm oil (CPO) was set at Rp16,072.74/kg, excluding value-added tax. The average local palm kernel price was recorded at Rp14,156.88/kg, while the K Factor was set at 94.15%.

The new FFB prices apply from August 26 through September 2, 2026. (T2)
