InfoSAWIT, PADANG – Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for oil palm growers in West Sumatra declined sharply in the third pricing period of August 2026, with the benchmark price for palms aged 10 to 20 years falling Rp113.48 per kilogram.
For the August 15–21, 2026 period, the FFB price for the 10–20-year-old category was set at Rp3,942.33 per kg, down from Rp4,055.81 per kg in the previous pricing period.
The latest prices were determined by the West Sumatra Provincial FFB Pricing Team during a meeting held in Padang. The prices serve as a reference for oil palm cooperatives and growers participating in partnership schemes across the province.
The latest pricing decision set FFB values according to the age of the oil palm trees, with the highest benchmark recorded for the 10–20-year-old category.
The official FFB prices for West Sumatra’s August 2026 Period III are as follows:
3 years: Rp3,100.10/kg
4 years: Rp3,275.07/kg
5 years: Rp3,468.96/kg
6 years: Rp3,581.47/kg
7 years: Rp3,719.01/kg
8 years: Rp3,855.95/kg
9 years: Rp3,932.02/kg
10–20 years: Rp3,942.33/kg
21 years: Rp3,792.78/kg
22 years: Rp3,786.00/kg
23 years: Rp3,728.10/kg
24 years: Rp3,553.36/kg
25 years: Rp3,512.12/kg
The pricing formula for the current period was based on a CPO price of Rp15,435.79 per kg and a palm kernel price of Rp12,945.00 per kg.
Meanwhile, the shell value was set at Rp17.30 per kg, while the K Index used in the calculation stood at 94.54%.
The official FFB prices apply to Village Unit Cooperatives (KUD) and growers partnered with companies across West Sumatra during the August 15–21 pricing period.
The next FFB price determination for West Sumatra, covering the August 22–28, 2026 period, is scheduled to be set on August 26, 2026. (T2)
