InfoSAWIT, PEKANBARU – Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for independent oil palm smallholders in Riau declined for the August 19–25, 2026 pricing period, with the benchmark price for 9-year-old palms set at Rp3,834.39 per kilogram.

The price fell Rp40.50 per kg from the previous period, when FFB from the same age category was valued at Rp3,874.89 per kg.

The latest prices were determined by the Riau Provincial Oil Palm FFB Pricing Team and will apply from August 19 to August 25, 2026.

The calculation is based on several key components, including crude palm oil (CPO) prices, palm kernel prices, the K Index and shell values.

For the current period, CPO was set at Rp15,658.99 per kg, while palm kernel prices were fixed at Rp13,145.12 per kg. The K Index stood at 93.34%, while shell value was set at Rp24.76 per kg.

9-Year-Old Palms Record the Highest FFB Price

The highest FFB price for independent smallholders in Riau during the August 19–25 period was recorded for 9-year-old oil palm trees at Rp3,834.39 per kg.

This was slightly higher than the price for 8-year-old palms, which stood at Rp3,821.31 per kg, and the 10–20-year-old category, which was set at Rp3,793.05 per kg.

The decline reflects changes in the pricing components used by the provincial pricing team, particularly movements in CPO and palm kernel values.
