West Sumatra Palm Oil FFB Price Rises to Rp4,055.81 per Kg in Mid-August 2026

InfoSAWIT, PADANG – Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for oil palm growers in West Sumatra continued to edge higher during the second pricing period of August 2026.

For oil palm trees aged between 10 and 20 years, the benchmark FFB price was set at Rp4,055.81 per kilogram, an increase of Rp10.79 per kg from Rp4,045.02 per kg in the previous pricing period.

The price applies to the second period of August 2026, from August 8 to August 14, following a meeting of West Sumatra’s FFB Pricing Team held in Padang.

Based on the official price-setting report of the West Sumatra Provincial Plantation, Food Crops and Horticulture Agency, the benchmark FFB prices were set according to the age of the oil palm trees as follows:

3 years: Rp3,173.70/kg

4 years: Rp3,356.80/kg

5 years: Rp3,557.80/kg

6 years: Rp3,673.72/kg

7 years: Rp3,820.82/kg

8 years: Rp3,957.69/kg

9 years: Rp4,043.36/kg

10–20 years: Rp4,055.81/kg

21 years: Rp3,895.51/kg

22 years: Rp3,889.44/kg

23 years: Rp3,831.07/kg

24 years: Rp3,653.50/kg

25 years: Rp3,614.65/kg

In the same pricing decision, crude palm oil (CPO) was valued at Rp15,467.31/kg, while palm kernel was set at Rp14,840/kg. Shell prices stood at Rp17.30/kg, with the average K Index recorded at 94.54%.

The benchmark prices serve as a reference for payments to Village Unit Cooperatives (KUDs) and company partner smallholders across West Sumatra during the applicable pricing period.

The official report also stated that the next FFB pricing period, covering August 15–21, 2026, was scheduled to be determined on August 19, 2026. (T2)
