West Sumatra Palm Oil Fresh Fruit Bunch Prices Rise Rp108.52/kg in Late August 2026

InfoSAWIT, PADANG – Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for oil palm in West Sumatra rose sharply during the fourth pricing period of August 2026, which applies from August 22 to 31.

For oil palm trees aged 10 to 20 years, the official FFB price was set at Rp4,050.85 per kilogram, an increase of Rp108.52 per kilogram from the previous period's Rp3,942.33 per kilogram.

The new price was determined during a meeting of the West Sumatra Provincial FFB Price Determination Team held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the Plantation Division Hall on Jalan Rasuna Said No. 77, Padang.

Based on the official minutes of the fourth FFB price determination meeting for 2026, the prices were set according to the age of the oil palm trees.

West Sumatra FFB Prices, August 22–31, 2026

3-year-old palms: Rp3,185.15/kg

4-year-old palms: Rp3,364.99/kg

5-year-old palms: Rp3,564.26/kg

6-year-old palms: Rp3,679.88/kg

7-year-old palms: Rp3,821.29/kg

8-year-old palms: Rp3,962.03/kg

9-year-old palms: Rp4,040.23/kg

10–20-year-old palms: Rp4,050.85/kg

21-year-old palms: Rp3,897.09/kg

22-year-old palms: Rp3,890.13/kg

23-year-old palms: Rp3,830.65/kg

24-year-old palms: Rp3,651.10/kg

25-year-old palms: Rp3,608.77/kg

The CPO price used in the latest calculation was set at Rp15,857.50 per kilogram, while the palm kernel price stood at Rp13,321.50 per kilogram.

The shell price was set at Rp17.30 per kilogram, while the K index used in the FFB price calculation reached 94.54%.

The next pricing period, covering September 1–7, 2026, is scheduled to be determined at the following price-setting meeting.

The official FFB prices are based on the determination of the local plantation authority. Actual transaction prices at the farm or mill level may differ depending on the policies of individual companies or palm oil mills. (T2)
