South Sumatra FFB Prices Reach Rp3,853.40 per Kg for Plasma Smallholders in August 2026

InfoSAWIT, PALEMBANG – Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for oil palm smallholders in South Sumatra reached a high of Rp3,853.40 per kilogram during the second pricing period of August 2026, with palms aged 10 to 20 years recording the highest benchmark price.

The latest prices were determined by the South Sumatra Provincial FFB Pricing Team following a meeting held in Palembang on August 19, 2026.

The calculation was based on an average crude palm oil (CPO) price of Rp15,348.70 per kg and an average palm kernel price of Rp12,830.55 per kg. The K Index was set at 93.38%, while the shell value stood at Rp18.78 per kg.

Plasma Smallholders See Highest Price at Rp3,853.40 per Kg

For plasma or partnered smallholders, the highest FFB price was recorded for oil palms aged between 10 and 20 years at Rp3,853.40 per kg.

The official plasma FFB prices for the second period of August 2026 were as follows:

3 years: Rp3,246.51/kg

4 years: Rp3,347.37/kg

5 years: Rp3,495.40/kg

6 years: Rp3,535.42/kg

7 years: Rp3,533.92/kg

8 years: Rp3,654.86/kg

9 years: Rp3,724.80/kg

10–20 years: Rp3,853.40/kg

21 years: Rp3,841.75/kg

22 years: Rp3,849.03/kg

23 years: Rp3,822.03/kg

24 years: Rp3,713.59/kg

25 years: Rp3,725.85/kg

26 years: Rp3,658.73/kg

27 years: Rp3,602.85/kg

28 years: Rp3,540.28/kg

29 years: Rp3,471.74/kg

30 years: Rp3,397.94/kg

The 22-year-old category followed closely at Rp3,849.03 per kg, while 21-year-old palms were priced at Rp3,841.75 per kg.

Independent Smallholder FFB Prices

In addition to plasma smallholders, the provincial pricing team also determined FFB prices for independent growers based on the proportion of tenera and dura planting materials.

The official prices were:

100% Tenera – 0% Dura: Rp3,517.87/kg

90% Tenera – 10% Dura: Rp3,496.40/kg

80% Tenera – 20% Dura: Rp3,473.72/kg

70% Tenera – 30% Dura: Rp3,452.25/kg

60% Tenera – 40% Dura: Rp3,431.00/kg

50% Tenera – 50% Dura: Rp3,409.53/kg

40% Tenera – 60% Dura: Rp3,386.85/kg

The highest price for independent smallholders was recorded for the 100% tenera category at Rp3,517.87 per kg. The lowest price in the list was Rp3,386.85 per kg for FFB with a composition of 40% tenera and 60% dura.

The latest pricing reflects movements in the key market components used in the provincial FFB pricing formula, including CPO and palm kernel prices, as well as the applicable K Index and shell value. (T2)
