InfoSAWIT, PEKANBARU – Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for plasma smallholder oil palm growers in Indonesia's Riau Province moved higher for the August 26-September 1, 2026 pricing period, with nine-year-old palms reaching Rp3,945.62 per kilogram.
The latest benchmark represents an increase of Rp61.52 per kg from the previous period, when the price for nine-year-old oil palms stood at Rp3,884.10 per kg.
The price was determined through Riau Province's Plasma Partnership Oil Palm FFB Pricing Team under the provincial pricing mechanism for the August 26-September 1 period.
The increase was supported by stronger crude palm oil (CPO) prices, one of the key components used in calculating the provincial FFB benchmark.
The average KPBN CPO price for the period was set at Rp15,880 per kg, while the average KPBN palm kernel price stood at Rp13,180 per kg.
Shell prices were set at Rp17.98 per kg, while the K Index used in the FFB price calculation was fixed at 93.51%.

The highest FFB price for the period remains in the nine-year-old planting category at Rp3,945.62 per kg, followed closely by eight-year-old palms at Rp3,941.50 per kg.
Oil palms aged between 10 and 20 years were priced at Rp3,924.11 per kg.
The Rp61.52 per kg increase for nine-year-old palms offers a positive development for plasma smallholders in Riau, with movements in CPO and palm kernel prices, together with the 93.51% K Index, shaping the latest benchmark.
The provincial pricing decision serves as the official reference for plasma partnership oil palm growers in Riau during the August 26-September 1, 2026 period. (T2)
