RSPO Certified Products Featured at INACRAFT 2025 Exhibition

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The stage of INACRAFT 2025 at the Jakarta International Convention Center, running from October 1–5, witnessed a new milestone for Indonesia's creative industry. The Laweyan Batik Village Development Forum (FPKBL) officially introduced a range of creative products based on sustainable palm oil after achieving the RSPO Supply Chain Certification (SCC).

This achievement proves that tradition, innovation, and sustainability can go hand in hand. Starting from the successful development of a palm-based batik wax formula, FPKBL has now gone further by launching decorative and aromatherapy candles in collaboration with Daemeter. These products stand out at Indonesia's largest craft exhibition, merging local wisdom with global standards.

At the same event, SpaFactory Bali also amplified the sustainability message by showcasing its BOEMI Botanical personal care line, which has also obtained RSPO SCC certification. The presence of these two MSME players confirms that sustainable practices are no longer exclusive to the upstream sector but are also tangible in downstream products that directly reach consumers.

This important moment was a collective effort. WWF Indonesia, CECT Trisakti University, and Control Union as the certification body, all provided guidance throughout the process leading to the official certificate handover. "Batik MSMEs like ours can finally prove that sustainability is inclusive. This success is the result of collective work that could not have been achieved alone," said Alpha Febela Priyatmoko, Chairman of FPKBL, during the "Craft Talks" event attended by InfoSAWIT on Wednesday (10/1/2025).

From a global perspective, the RSPO sees this step as a new gateway to increase the consumption of sustainable palm oil products in Indonesia. "Creativity and sustainability can coexist. Creative MSMEs make a tangible contribution to the transformation of the palm oil industry," asserted Dr. M. Windrawan Inantha, RSPO Deputy Director of Market Transformation (Indonesia).

The main event, the Craft Talk titled "Sustainability Meets Creativity," featured an inspiring dialogue on how sustainability standards synergize with local creativity. The event concluded with the RSPO SCC certificate handover ceremony to FPKBL and SpaFactory Bali—symbolizing the birth of a new era for Indonesia's sustainable palm oil-based creative industry.

For the creative and tourism industries, this innovation opens up vast opportunities. From batik wax to aromatherapy candles, from personal care to home décor, local products now carry a new narrative: beauty that is sustainable and globally valuable. Thus, sustainability is no longer just jargon but has transformed into a new identity for Indonesian creativity. (T2)
