InfoSAWIT, PEKANBARU – Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for plasma smallholders in Riau Province increased during the pricing period of August 5–11, 2026, with plantations aged nine years recording the highest gain following the latest decision by the provincial pricing committee.
According to InfoSAWIT, citing the Riau Provincial Plantation Agency, the official price for nine-year-old oil palm trees increased by Rp26.56 per kilogram, bringing the benchmark to Rp4,011.82 per kilogram.
The revised pricing schedule shows that three-year-old plantations are valued at Rp3,099.41/kg, four-year-old plantations at Rp3,506.85/kg, five-year-old plantations at Rp3,714.61/kg, six-year-old plantations at Rp3,875.37/kg, seven-year-old plantations at Rp3,959.63/kg, and eight-year-old plantations at Rp4,006.32/kg.
For mature plantations, prices were set at Rp4,011.82/kg for nine-year-old trees and Rp3,991.13/kg for plantations aged between 10 and 20 years. Prices gradually decline for older plantations, reflecting lower productivity associated with aging trees.
The pricing committee also established the provincial reference CPO price at Rp15,709.74 per kilogram, while the palm kernel reference price reached Rp15,153.14 per kilogram. Shell value was determined at Rp18.27 per kilogram, with the K Index set at 93.39 percent.
The official pricing serves as a benchmark for transactions involving plasma smallholders throughout Riau during the designated pricing period. Actual prices paid by mills may vary depending on local market conditions and commercial agreements between buyers and growers.
Riau remains one of Indonesia’s largest palm oil-producing provinces, and weekly FFB price adjustments are closely monitored by growers and industry participants as an important indicator of plantation profitability and market performance. (T2)
