ROHIL – The Government of Rokan Hilir (Rohil), Riau Province re – runs the aid programme to the plantation farmers, that is, distributing palm oil seeds freely.
"The programme is for the farmers having no vast plantations,” Head of Plantation Agency, District of Rohil, Syahril recently said as quoted from Info Riau.
He thought, the distribution of the seeds will be done to whole subdistricts in Rohil. “In the beginning of this year, it has been starting in whole subdistricts and hopefully it will be finished by the end of this year,” he explained.
The distribution of the seeds will be running as what the farmers groups asked for in every subdistrict. He continued, there have been 10 thousands of stalks of 1 -2 year olds to be distributed. “The seeds are distributed in the village offices, subdistricts and farmers groups. But not all the farmers have it yet,” he explained. (T3)
