KUANTAN SINGING – Government of Indonesia keeps trying to develop sustainable palm oil. One of them is by obliging to have Indonesia Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) for the businessmen or the planters.

Head of Plantation Agency, District of Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing), Riau Province, Wariman welcomed the mandatory. He mentioned, his institution hopes to run ISPO or Rountable Suistanable Palm Oil (RSPO) well in 2015.

“We suggest, all plantation companies in our region to follow the regulations that the government has published so that the selling price of crude palm oil will be better too,” he explained, Thursday (29/1) as quoted from Antara Riau.

Wariman continued, from the data in his institution, there are 23 palm oil companies in some subdistricts. But there are few of them having process the ISPO and RSPO.

RSPO itself, he continued, is an international standard that the companies should get to sell CPO as the standard one. So the companies should have it, of cource. (T3)
