Increasing Economy, Government Must Focuses on Managing Agriculture Sector

JAKARTA – In order to increasing Indonesian economy, a Singaporean expert of foreign exchange, Mario Singh, stated Indonesian government have to focuses on managing five prospective sectors in 2015.

“The five potential sectors in 2015 are financial or investment, banking, marine, mining, and agriculture sector,” he said, on Thursday (20/11/2014), as published by Antara.

He evaluates, agriculture can be important sector cause Indonesia is the biggest crude palm oil (CPO) producer in the world, so that the government have to increasing the efforts in increasing agriculture productivity includes society business.

Moreover, as stated by General Secretary of Indonesian Palm Oil Farmers (Apkasindo) Asmar Arsyad, that Indonesian palm oil areas in 2012 reach about 9,23 million hectares, by 280 million tons CPO production, and export value in US$ 23,8 million, while only 10 million tons for CPO domestic needs.
