InfoSAWIT, MEDAN – The price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) produced by partner plasma oil palm smallholders in North Sumatra declined for the September 16–22, 2026 period, with the price for palms aged 10–20 years set at Rp4,066.20 per kilogram.

The price determination was based on the decision of the North Sumatra Team for Determining FFB Prices for Plasma Partner Oil Palm Production. The new price applies across different plantation age categories.

The FFB price list for North Sumatra for the September 16–22 period is as follows:

3 years: Rp3,420.97/kg

4 years: Rp3,647.15/kg

5 years: Rp3,774.22/kg

6 years: Rp3,886.62/kg

7 years: Rp3,862.07/kg

8 years: Rp3,994.69/kg

9 years: Rp4,033.01/kg

10–20 years: Rp4,066.20/kg

21 years: Rp4,069.96/kg

22 years: Rp4,031.03/kg

23 years: Rp3,975.23/kg

24 years: Rp3,851.75/kg

25 years: Rp3,737.55/kg

26 years: Rp3,707.12/kg

27 years: Rp3,651.76/kg

28 years: Rp3,593.37/kg

29 years: Rp3,533.23/kg

30 years: Rp3,473.09/kg

The highest listed FFB price during the period was recorded for 21-year-old palms at Rp4,069.96 per kilogram, slightly above the Rp4,066.20/kg price for the 10–20-year category.

CPO and Palm Kernel Prices

The price calculation was also influenced by the reference prices for crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernels.

The average local and export CPO price used in the calculation was set at Rp16,202.91 per kilogram, excluding value-added tax (VAT). Meanwhile, the average local palm kernel price was set at Rp13,797.44 per kilogram, also excluding VAT.

The K factor, another component used in calculating the FFB price, was set at 93.74 percent for the September 16–22 period.

The new determination places the North Sumatra plasma smallholder FFB price for 10–20-year-old palms at Rp4,066.20/kg during the latest pricing period.

Actual transaction prices at the farm level may differ depending on the policies applied by individual plantation companies or palm oil mills. (T2)
