InfoSAWIT, MEDAN – Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) prices for palm oil produced by plasma smallholders in North Sumatra increased for the September 9–15, 2026 period. The price for palms aged 10–20 years was set at IDR 4,079.09 per kilogram, up IDR 22.77 per kilogram from IDR 4,056.32 per kilogram in the previous period.
The increase was recorded across all palm age groups. The latest prices were determined during a meeting of the North Sumatra Team for Setting FFB Prices for Plasma Partner Smallholders, held on September 9, 2026, at the Agriculture and Food Security Office in Medan.
The pricing formula takes into account prices obtained from palm oil companies operating in North Sumatra, along with crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel prices.
Based on data reviewed by InfoSAWIT from the North Sumatra Agriculture and Food Security Office, the FFB price for three-year-old palms was set at IDR 3,432.16 per kilogram, while four-year-old palms reached IDR 3,659.12 per kilogram. The price for five-year-old palms stood at IDR 3,786.56 per kilogram, followed by IDR 3,899.25 for six-year-old palms.
For seven-year-old palms, the price was set at IDR 3,874.29 per kilogram, while eight-year-old palms reached IDR 4,007.47 per kilogram.
The price for nine-year-old palms reached IDR 4,045.81 per kilogram. Meanwhile, palms aged 10–20 years were priced at IDR 4,079.09 per kilogram, with 21-year-old palms recording the highest price at IDR 4,082.94 per kilogram.
Prices then declined gradually among older palms. The rate was IDR 4,043.96 per kilogram for 22-year-old palms, IDR 3,987.92 for 23-year-old palms, and IDR 3,864.13 for 24-year-old palms.
For palms aged 25 years, the price was set at IDR 3,749.68 per kilogram. The figures then stood at IDR 3,719.20 for 26-year-old palms, IDR 3,663.71 for 27-year-old palms, IDR 3,605.18 for 28-year-old palms, IDR 3,544.91 for 29-year-old palms, and IDR 3,484.64 for 30-year-old palms.
The pricing period was based on an average local and export CPO price of IDR 16,244.53 per kilogram, excluding value-added tax. The average local palm kernel price was IDR 13,883.94 per kilogram, while the K factor was set at 93.74 percent.
With the latest adjustment, the FFB price for mature 10–20-year-old palms in North Sumatra moved back above IDR 4,000 per kilogram. The highest price in the latest period was recorded for 21-year-old palms at IDR 4,082.94 per kilogram. (T2)
