InfoSAWIT, JAMBI – Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for smallholders in Indonesia’s Jambi Province declined across all plantation age groups for the September 18–24, 2026 period, reflecting weaker benchmark prices used in the provincial pricing formula.
For plasma smallholders with palms aged 10–20 years, the official FFB price was set at Rp3,914.66 per kilogram, down Rp36.02/kg from Rp3,950.68/kg in the previous period.
The decline affected all plantation age categories, with decreases ranging from Rp26.54 to Rp36.02/kg.
The provincial pricing calculation was based on an average CPO price of Rp15,379.81/kg, an average palm kernel price of Rp13,535.64/kg, a K index of 93.64%, and a shell value of Rp22.11/kg.
For plasma smallholders, the FFB prices were set as follows:
3-year-old palms: Rp3,248.86/kg
4-year-old palms: Rp3,432.00/kg
5-year-old palms: Rp3,511.16/kg
6-year-old palms: Rp3,606.85/kg
7-year-old palms: Rp3,689.69/kg
8-year-old palms: Rp3,745.28/kg
9-year-old palms: Rp3,831.47/kg
10–20-year-old palms: Rp3,914.66/kg
21-year-old palms: Rp3,853.42/kg
22-year-old palms: Rp3,763.95/kg
23-year-old palms: Rp3,726.85/kg
24-year-old palms: Rp3,689.40/kg
25-year-old palms: Rp3,647.29/kg
FFB prices for independent smallholders also declined during the same period. The provincial calculation distinguishes prices according to the proportion of Tenera and Dura fruit.
For plantations consisting entirely of Tenera, the price was Rp3,590.61/kg. The figure declined progressively as the Dura proportion increased. A 90% Tenera and 10% Dura composition was priced at Rp3,566.70/kg, while 80% Tenera and 20% Dura was set at Rp3,544.23/kg.
The price for 70% Tenera and 30% Dura stood at Rp3,521.76/kg, followed by Rp3,499.30/kg for a 60:40 composition. A 50% Tenera and 50% Dura composition was priced at Rp3,476.66/kg.
The lowest price in the independent smallholder category was Rp3,454.19/kg for a composition of 40% Tenera and 60% Dura.
The decline in Jambi’s official FFB prices is closely watched by smallholders because the provincial pricing determination serves as an important reference for transactions at the farm level.
For the September 18–24 period, both plasma and independent smallholder FFB prices moved lower compared with the previous week. (T2)
