InfoSAWIT, PADANG – Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices for smallholder oil palm in West Sumatra increased during the third pricing period of September 2026, with the new rate applying from September 15 to 21.

For oil palms aged 10–20 years, the FFB price was set at Rp4,042.71 per kilogram, an increase of Rp15.06 per kilogram from the previous level of Rp4,027.65 per kilogram.

The price was determined at a meeting of the West Sumatra Provincial FFB Pricing Team on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. According to the official minutes issued by the province’s Food Crops and Horticulture Plantation Agency, the new price applies for the September 15–21 period.

The FFB price is determined according to palm age and applies to farmer cooperatives, or KUDs, partnering with plantation companies in West Sumatra.

The following are the official West Sumatra FFB prices for September 15–21, 2026:

3 years: Rp3,173.69/kg

4 years: Rp3,354.18/kg

5 years: Rp3,553.59/kg

6 years: Rp3,669.07/kg

7 years: Rp3,811.70/kg

8 years: Rp3,952.82/kg

9 years: Rp4,031.56/kg

10–20 years: Rp4,042.71/kg

21 years: Rp3,887.26/kg

22 years: Rp3,880.58/kg

23 years: Rp3,821.55/kg

24 years: Rp3,642.97/kg

25 years: Rp3,601.79/kg

In the latest pricing calculation, the CPO reference price stood at Rp15,739.61 per kilogram, while palm kernel was set at Rp13,790.46 per kilogram.

The K Index used in calculating the FFB price was 94.34%, while the shell price was set at Rp15.63 per kilogram.

Compared with the previous pricing period, the FFB price for palms aged 10–20 years increased by Rp15.06 per kilogram, from Rp4,027.65 to Rp4,042.71 per kilogram. The increase was equivalent to approximately 0.37%.

The next FFB pricing period, covering September 22–30, 2026, is scheduled to be determined on Wednesday, September 23. (T2)
