InfoSAWIT, PALEMBANG – The official price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) from smallholder oil palm plantations in South Sumatra reached IDR 3,823.99 per kilogram for the first half of September 2026, with the highest price applying to palms aged 10–20 years.

The price includes an additional shell value of IDR 14.87 per kilogram, according to the latest FFB pricing decision issued by the South Sumatra FFB Purchase Price Determination Team.

InfoSAWIT reported that the price-setting meeting was held on September 9, 2026. The document placed the average crude palm oil (CPO) price at IDR 15,440.24 per kilogram, while the average palm kernel price stood at IDR 12,698.20 per kilogram. The “K” index was set at 92.47 percent.

For oil palms aged 10–20 years, the FFB price before the shell adjustment was IDR 3,809.12 per kilogram. After adding the shell value of IDR 14.87 per kilogram, the final price reached IDR 3,823.99 per kilogram.

South Sumatra Plasma FFB Prices

The FFB prices for partner or plasma smallholders are determined according to plantation age. The following figures include the additional shell value of IDR 14.87 per kilogram:

3 years: IDR 3,222.67/kg

4 years: IDR 3,322.84/kg

5 years: IDR 3,470.69/kg

6 years: IDR 3,511.13/kg

7 years: IDR 3,509.99/kg

8 years: IDR 3,628.86/kg

9 years: IDR 3,697.57/kg

10–20 years: IDR 3,823.99/kg

21 years: IDR 3,812.13/kg

22 years: IDR 3,818.80/kg

23 years: IDR 3,791.93/kg

24 years: IDR 3,683.83/kg

25 years: IDR 3,695.64/kg

26 years: IDR 3,628.79/kg

27 years: IDR 3,573.01/kg

28 years: IDR 3,510.61/kg

29 years: IDR 3,442.23/kg

30 years: IDR 3,368.66/kg

The highest plasma FFB price was recorded for plantations aged 10–20 years at IDR 3,823.99 per kilogram. It was followed by palms aged 22 years at IDR 3,818.80 per kilogram and 21 years at IDR 3,812.13 per kilogram.

The lowest price in the plasma category was recorded for three-year-old palms at IDR 3,222.67 per kilogram.

South Sumatra Independent Smallholder FFB Prices

The South Sumatra pricing team also established FFB prices for independent smallholders. These prices are calculated based on the composition of tenera and dura fruit.

The following are the FFB prices for independent smallholders for the first half of September 2026:

100% Tenera – 0% Dura: IDR 3,493.59/kg

90% Tenera – 10% Dura: IDR 3,472.08/kg

80% Tenera – 20% Dura: IDR 3,449.40/kg

70% Tenera – 30% Dura: IDR 3,427.89/kg

60% Tenera – 40% Dura: IDR 3,406.63/kg

50% Tenera – 50% Dura: IDR 3,385.12/kg

40% Tenera – 60% Dura: IDR 3,362.44/kg

The highest independent smallholder FFB price reached IDR 3,493.59 per kilogram for fruit consisting entirely of tenera, while the lowest stood at IDR 3,362.44 per kilogram for a 40 percent tenera and 60 percent dura composition.

The next South Sumatra FFB price-setting meeting for the second half of September 2026 is scheduled for September 17, 2026, at the South Sumatra Provincial Plantation Office.

Therefore, the prices above apply specifically to the first half of September 2026 and do not represent the subsequent pricing period. (T2)
