InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Indonesia’s crude palm oil (CPO) reference price at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN Inacom) strengthened on Monday (July 20), reflecting improving market sentiment alongside higher palm oil futures on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange (BMD).

KPBN set the CPO price at Rp15,777 per kilogram, marking an increase of Rp77/kg, or approximately 0.49%, compared to Rp15,700/kg recorded on Friday (July 17).

According to data obtained by InfoSAWIT, the Franco Belawan CPO price was fixed at Rp15,777/kg, while the FOB Talang Duku price reached Rp15,577/kg. Meanwhile, the FOB Boom Baru, Palembang tender opened at Rp15,627/kg but was later withdrawn, with the highest bid recorded at Rp15,557/kg.

The stronger domestic pricing coincided with gains in Malaysian palm oil futures. The benchmark October contract on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange rose 39 ringgit, or 0.85%, to 4,636 ringgit per metric ton (approximately US$1,134.33) during midday trading.

Market sentiment was supported by rising global crude oil prices, stronger vegetable oil markets in China, and renewed concerns that potential El Niño conditions could disrupt palm oil production, tightening future supplies.

China’s Dalian Commodity Exchange also posted gains, with the most-active soyoil contract advancing 0.51%, while palm oil futures climbed 1.16%. On the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), soyoil futures edged 0.06% higher, adding further support to the global edible oils complex.
