InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Indonesia's state-owned commodity marketing company PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) recorded another withdrawal (WD) in its crude palm oil (CPO) tender on Tuesday (June 30), with the highest bid reaching Rp15,397/kg, down Rp288/kg or approximately 1.84% from Monday's highest offer of Rp15,685/kg.
According to tender data obtained by InfoSAWIT, the Franco Dumai tender opened at Rp15,550/kg but was withdrawn after attracting a highest bid of Rp15,397/kg. The FOB Talang Duku tender opened at Rp15,350/kg before being withdrawn at Rp15,197/kg, while the Franco Teluk Bayur tender opened at Rp15,420/kg and ended with a top bid of Rp15,260/kg. Additional tenders at Parindu, Ngabang and Kembayan also concluded with withdrawals, while the Luwu tender received no bidders.
Despite weaker domestic tender results, Malaysian palm oil futures remained on track to close June in positive territory.
According to Reuters, the benchmark September 2026 crude palm oil contract on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange fell RM47, or 1.02%, to RM4,541 per metric ton (approximately US$1,116.55) during the midday trading session on Tuesday. Nevertheless, the contract still posted a monthly gain of about 1.1%, ending a two-month losing streak.
Market sentiment was weighed down by weaker soybean oil prices across global markets and expectations of stronger Malaysian palm oil production in the coming weeks.
Similar trends were observed in other vegetable oil markets. The most-active soybean oil contract on China's Dalian Commodity Exchange declined 0.11%, while Dalian palm oil futures slipped 0.25%. Meanwhile, soybean oil futures on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) eased 0.51%, adding pressure to the broader edible oils market.
For palm kernel products, KPBN recorded a withdrawn tender for CPKO Franco Dumai with the highest bid at Rp28,810/kg, while FOB Palembang attracted a top bid of Rp28,060/kg before being withdrawn. Palm kernel (PK) at Franco Belawan was successfully traded at Rp13,435/kg. (T2)
