JAKARTA, INFOSAWIT – The urgency to implement sustainable palm oil practices gets stronger. The result is that the products from sustainable palm oil material get easier to find and get.

Now palm oil plantation becomes one kind of industry thought to be open minded to implement sustainable practices. Of course, national palm oil industries have the good images than the other kinds of industries, such as, mining.

JAKARTA/INFOSAWIT – The coordinators of Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA) end their duties in this February, 2015. Locating in Bali, the Conference will be held on 26 – 27 February 2015 to vote for the new Coordinators fro 2015 – 2018.

There are many hopes lied on the national palm oil businessmen organization – to be a strong and dynamic one. National palm oil industries always face many everlasting problems, such as, the regulations, environmental issues, the overlapping licence and the regional regulation which keep being harmful.

PEKANBARU – Head of Plantation Agency, Riau, Zuhler said, the government has to focus to develop biodiesel palm oil – base though the world crude oil price is not good still.

JAKARTA – A big palm oil company, PT Astra Agro Lestari (AALI) noted that in January 2015, the crude palm oil (CPO) volume selling just reached 67.905 tons or decreased 33,1% than the selling in the same period in 2014 which reaching 101.486 tons.

PEKANBARU – Based on the decision of price making team in Plantation Agency of Riau Province, the palm oil fruit  (FFB) price from 18- 24 February 2015, the ten year old fruit increases Rp95,15/kg to be Rp1.761,34/Kg from the previous period which was only Rp1.666,19/Kg.

JAKARTA – PT Astra Agro Lestari (AALI) reported that in January 2015, the crude palm oil (CPO) production had been 127.397 tons or decreased about 7,2 % than the same period in last year which reaching 137.277 tons.

TAWAU – A palm oil factory in Kalabakan, about one hundred kilometers from Tawau, was burnt. The fire broke out the factory, Friday, (20/2).

MINDANAO –SunStar wrote, the members of Philippine Palm Oil Development Council (PPODC), Peter Laviña predicted, in 2015, it is a very prospective year to enlarge and develop palm oil plantation in Mindanao for being supported by the good market and climate.
