SAMARINDA – Commission II, Legislative East Kalimantan Province urged all palm oil companies to increase the numbers of plasma farmers. This is aimed to increase the welfare of the people around.
The statement was told in the meeting of Commission II with the Plantation Agency of East Kalimantan and the representatives of palm oil company, they were Sinarmas Group and PT Swakarsa in the Hall of the Legislatives, Wednesday (18/2).
The secretary of Commission II, Muspandi, there are more palm oil plantation companies but the plasma farmers are not.
“The data from Plantation Agency, East Kalimantan, the licences of palm oil company are mostly in District of Berau and the lowest are in Samarinda. Every region has plasma farmers but the numbers are still not enough,” he said as written in the official Legislator website, Monday (23/2). (T3)
