SINOE COUNTRY – The pople in District of Butaw, Sinoe Country asked the mangement of the company, Golden Veroleum Liberia, operating in the region to give compensation for the villages, plantation and cemeteries of their ancestors.
This is done for the company has buldozed their area during the company plants palm oil.
In their official documents, the people said that the company should pay the compensation and the deadline should be on February 20th, the days before. If the company did not do it, the company should empty the area or move from their region.
“GVL should empty the area in Butaw. We warn the management of GLV that 30 days after January 205y to February 20th, what we ask for should be fulfilled,” the people insisted as quoted from All Africa, Friday, (20/2). (T3)
