Indonesian and Finland Company Effort in Bioenergy Cooperation

JAKARTA – Nowadays, Indonesia is pushing in new and renewable energy sources in order to fulfill the society needs especially for remote areas.

That’s why, some of Indonesian companies started to cooperate in renewable energy sector, energy efficiency, and clean technology investment with Finland company.

Especially they will cooperate in developing bioenergy using vegetable fuels and agriculture wastes, in Riau and Central Borneo Provinces.

The cooperation program between Indonesian and Finland were fund by Energy and Environmental Partnership with Indonesia (EEP Indonesia), a billateral cooperation mediated by Finland and Indonesian government. EFP Program is aims to supporting the utility of renewable energy which is influenced to greenhouse gass effects.

Finland Embassy, Paivi Hiltunen-Toivio states, they plan to do a cooperation a big scale of biomass project. From now on, the cooperation between the country’s companies still in low-middle scale.

“There are some big companies in Finland which are running in bioenergy, by developing a hundred percent biomass energy in utilizing processing-wood wastes. This were run in low-middle scale, he said, on Tuesday (25/11/2014), as published by Kabar Bisnis. (T3)
