PEKANBARU - Gajah Mada University on Monday (10/11/2014), gives an achievement to PT Perkebunan Nusantara V for the integration of palm oil-cows for cattle beef self-sufficient located in Pekanbaru, Riau Province.
“PTPN V has been succeed in implementing the integration of palm oil-cows in Riau Province, also increasing the production of local cattle beef,” said Dean of Agriculture Faculty Gajah Mada Univ., Prof. Ali Agus in a press comferrence, on Thursday (13/11/2014), quoted by Republika.
He explained, the achievement is given as a appreciation for PTPN V which always committed to the development of cattle-beef by the integration system.
While the Chairman of PTPN V, Amal Bakti Pulungan explain, nowadays the land that implemented as the integration program is being researched by the research team from Gajah Mada University named “Innovative and Productive Research (Rispro) as a cooperation with the university.
“Rispro is held in 2014-2016 in Sei Rokan Estate PTPN V, one of Ripro’s program is the developing of cow-feed mill by 10 tons per day capacity,” He said. (T3)
