BENGKULU – The company running palm oil plantation and factory in North Bengkulu, PT Sandabi Indah Lestari (SIL) said that the company implements zero waste concept from the production and the cultivation of palm oil.
“Our factory cultivates the waste, starting from the solid and the liquid waste,” the leader of PT SIL, Hendro Prasetyo said to Kupas Bengkulu, Tuesday (26/8/2014).
He continued, in the solid waste such as, the shells are sold, while empty bunches are made to be compost in the plantation.
The liquid waste, he thought, also becomes the compost by using activator. “The concepts is from the plantation to plantation,” he explained. (T3)
