PALANGKARAYA – Central Kalimantan which is known as the pioneer of REDD+  keeps improving to welcome of REDD+ programme in the footprint level.

So to improve the serial programmes of the socialization which is done by Regional Commission of REDD+ to 7 major districts in Central Kalimantan, the programme would be running from July 2014 until October 2014.

“The socialization is to make the same perception between the stakeholders so the prior programmes could be equal to the Regional Strategy of REDD+ in Central Kalimantan in order to reduce the emission in the regional level,” Governor of Central Kalimantan Teras Narang said in the statement of Coodinator REED+ to InfoSAWIT, Tuesday (26/8/2014).

Regional Strategy, Teras continued, should be balance to the National Strategy of REDD+ and National Action Plan of REDD+ so that it will be the platform of the programme and the next activity to the future.

Seven disticts which get the socializtion of REDD+ are: District of South Barito, District of Katingan,  District of Pulang  Pisau, District of East Kotawaringin, District of Gunung Mas, District of Murung Raya, and District of Kapuas. (T3)
