JAKARTA – General Secretary of Indonesian Biofuels Producer Association, Togar Sitanggang said, biodiesel exports will decrease to Europe, starting from this year. It happens for the tax is getting higher in European Union.
Togar estimated, this year, biodiesel will be 500 thousands kilo liter to be exported to Europe. It decreased from the previous year which reaching 1 millions kiloliter. Beside that, he said, the decreasing volume exports happens for the mandatory policy of biodiesel about 10% (B10) which also runs in this year.
“Like what I said last year, if the B-10 has run, we should forget Europe. It is proven, we will not export biodiesel there,” he ended his words as quoted from Tribun News, Thursday (24/7/2014). (T3)
