LIBERIA - Sime Darby Plantation Liberia (SDPL) has made large breakthrough by investing in Liberia, building modern palm oil factory which is about US$ 10 millions. If the building is finish, the factory will be the first palm oil factory built by Malaysian company in Africa.
The directors of Sime Darby, as quoted from Liberian Observer, Sunday (20/7/2014), the factory will be finish in 2015 and will be 60 tons/hour of palm oil fruit.
Secretary of Internal Affairs, Liberia, Morris Dukuly said the President of Liberia, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf wants the palm oil factory. “Palm oil factory is hoped by President Sirleaf to be consistent to run the productional added value process. Sime Darby will not produce oil only but also produce the other products for the local people,” he said.
Dukuly described, palm oil factory is a good investment because it hires workers and makes the economy in Liberia be strongers and the better life for the people. (T3)
