JAMBI – Superior seeds are needed by the farmers in Batanghari to boost the better production. But the limited stocks given by the regional district of Batanghari, Jambi Province could not fulfill the subsidy of superior seeds which the farmers need.
Head of Production, Plantation Agency, District of Batanghari, Nurdin Sitanggang, said there were 1.300 farmers proposing the seeds, more than 14.000 stalks which Regional Government of Batanghari should provide.
We will verify the proposal and the farmers having more than 5 hectare ares will be advised to buy their own sprouts,” he said as written in Antara, Jambi, Friday (4/7/2014).
He thought, to cover the lack of seeds, Plantation Agency of Jambi will add 20 thousands of stalks for the farmers in Batanghari. (T3)
