JAKARTA - The second biggest palm oil company in the world, Golden Agri Resources Ltd (GAR)and the international maritime transportation and service, Louis Dreyfus Armateurs, have officially announced to cooperate in Indonesia with the business in transporting and logistics through the participation 50-50equity in Orchard Maritime Services Pte Ltd(OMS). Now LDA owns the industry.
Director of Coorporate Strategy and Business Development of GAR, Jesslyne Widjaja welcomes the cooperation with LDA. “This is part of GAR strategy to increase the vertical integration of our operation. Through this cooperation, GAR could be optimal to the stocks, could ensure the best international standard, get the efficient cost in domestic transportation of our product,” he said in his press release which InfoSAWIT got, Wednesday (2/7/2014).
GAR hoped, the partnership could increase the capacity of GAR and the efficiency in domestic transportation in the palm oil products
OMS is hiring the modern ships which are able to transport mineral and agriculture commodity. “Together with the company, OMS will give the maritime and logistic service in domestic transportation of GAR,” GAR explained. (T3)
